Saving information

Ask your assistant to remember something you want to return to later.

Remember in “work/deliveries”: on 3 September I spoke with Ivanov at Olympus Moscow. Delivery has moved to 15 October because of a production delay. Ivanov will send an updated schedule by Friday.

The assistant saves the account as an event and extracts the facts: the new date, the reason for the delay and the agreement with Ivanov. Agreed next actions become tasks. The assistant extracts facts; the server does not do it automatically.

What to include

  • Who and what: names of people, companies and projects.
  • When: the event date and when a change takes effect.
  • What you agreed: terms, dates and reasons for the decision.
  • Evidence and constraints: who supplied the information, what help is available, on what terms, and what still needs verification.
  • Where to save it: a memory area, if you keep topics separate.

For past events, give the date explicitly: “Ivanov has led logistics since March 2019.”

Save a capability and a route to it

Elena is my friend and an external adviser to LabCo. She offered to introduce our integration project to its technical director after receiving a short brief. The director must approve any pilot.

Save distinct records: your friendship, Elena's role at LabCo, the offered introduction and its condition, and the pilot approval requirement. The assistant also creates a task to prepare the brief. The friendship's start date and the director's identity remain unknown unless you supply them.

Ask: “Show the relationships, capability, conditions and next task from this account.” One stored fact does not establish complete extraction. Known birth, death, registration and liquidation dates also belong in the entity's lifecycle.
